Question

Who are behind the 800-266-9420 calls?

This is more of an answer than a question. The calls made from 800-266-9420 come from a telemarketer company currently located at 18586 US-19 N, Clearwater, FL 33764.They are located beside the McDonalds on North US-19, but as those companies always do, they are moving shortly. I will post their new address if I obtain it. They get our phone and card numbers from local businesses in the area. They obtained mine from a one night stay I made at a Comfort Inn in Tampa - probably one of the surley desk clerks sold it to them. The phone number is a call-out number only so you can't call them back. I am working on obtaining a call in number or e-mail but they guard those closely. The telemarketers are not very bright so you can mess with them but they are under orders to just hang up on us if we become too inquisitive. If you tell them that you know where they work it usually shakes them up some. Have some fun at their expense and post anything that you learn about them or their company.
More information on the 266-9420 calls! I was slightly off on the address - the company that is behind the calls is Platinum One Marketing, 18562 US Highway 19 North, Clearwater, Fl 33764. And the best part - telephone (727) 536-8800. I recommend calls to the BBB, Clearwater. How do I know all this? I tricked a young employee into telling me that they were next to McDonalds on US-19 in Clearwater. From there on it was easy to find them. Her supervisor made her hang up on me immediately after she gave out that information -- TOO LATE! They are moving but are retaining the same employees so must be staying in the area. Don't yet know if they are changing their name when they move. You can look them up on Superpages.com for Clearwater. Give them Hell Folks!
Go to the following web site for a better insite into what this Platinum One Marketing Group, Inc is attempting to do.

They are moving around the first of March but they can be traced. If they change their "call - out" number I can only hope that it will be reported so we can keep the public informed of their scams.
The problem of no one being on line when you answer the phone is rather simple. The call is being dialed by a computer - when someone answers the call the computer attempts to find an employee that isn't busy to take the call. If no one is free, then the computer simply "drops" the call and goes on to the next number on its list. It is the same principle as when your local congressperson calls. There will be a delay, then the tape starts playing telling you what a great guy/gal they are and how you should be thankful that they are putting your money in their pocket instead of wasteing it on something like better schools or health care for the public. Makes one wonder who is the worst scam artist, doesn't it?

Is one of those Telemarket call which this 800-266-9420 only use to call out. I get the same problem they call and hangup after i pickup the phone. when i call back no answer. Once i call and got answer it was computer anwser machine and you only able leave massage(selling house 2-3bedroom bathroom). What you have to do is add you phone number to "National Do Not Call List". The number is 888-382-1222 or go to www.donotcall.gov and follow the instruction. If you already register "do not call list" in youe state (for example: Masschusetts,mass.gov) this will not work because it only stop the telemarket company call with in the same state. You have to use "National do not call list" to cover every telemarket in side USA. Unless telemarket call from out side USA then you in bad luck.
