A person who does inventory is called Inventory control executive/ sr. executive/ asst. manager/ manager depending upon experience.

Job responsibilities of Inventory control executive:

- Electronically prepare/process all acquisitions, betterments, modifications, transfers, turn-ins, and deletions of inventory; reconcile inventory asset accounts and financial ledger; maintain updated inventory listing and provide to departments upon request within mandated timelines.

- Direct the coordination/preparation/set up of inventory and other property for excess equipment review (Last Look).

- Monitor and track inventory delivered direct to departments and process, barcode, and assign locations to property.

- Plan/supervise/schedule/execute an on-going biannual barcode physical inventory of inventory by campus and department.

- Coordinate and submit timely and accurate inventory control data and analysis to the Materiel Management Manager for the Monthly/Annual Materiel Management Activity Report.

- Assure that equipment transfers between departments are processed. Assure that all such equipment is returned to the inventory control of Materiel Management; log, pickup, and process property into the financial system; maintain accountable records of all equipment transfer transactions.

- Coordinate the disposal of salvage equipment/materials as governed by specific laws and policy thereby maximizing financial return.

- Assure that excess property is properly stored and accounted for and that procedures and practices are implemented to preclude loss, damage, and/or pilferage; conduct periodic spot checks of warehouse excess and conduct a formal inventory at least once annually.

- Supervise daily activities of employees assigned to the Inventory Control Section.

- Assume responsibilities of the Materiel Management Manager in his/her absence.

Responsibilities of retail sales crew:

- Provides customer assistance in selecting and purchasing merchandise.
- Furnishes information to customers about goods for sale.
- Schedule deliveries and/or installations.
- Suggest other merchandise to fit customer requirements.
- Do upselling
- Collects payments if no cashier is available.
- Assists with merchandise stocking and restocking.
